1958 — 2026 · Department of Economics
Home, again.
This homecoming is designed to honor our legacy, strengthen our community, and foster meaningful engagement between alumni, students, and faculty. December 2 to 6, 2026, on the old campus in Ibadan.
The long road back
Sixty-eight years of Ibadan economists
Since 1958, the Department of Economics at the University of Ibadan has shaped generations of economists, policymakers, public servants, founders, and institutional leaders. Homecoming 2026 brings that network back to Ibadan for five days of reunion, service, giving, mentoring, celebration, and renewed commitment to the department.
Reconnect. Reflect. Reignite. Celebrate. — the four words the committee chose for the year.
